The ultimate way to step outside of your comfort zone.
If you’re heading overseas, chances are you have nothing holding you back at home—nothing tying you down, nothing to look back on. You’re independent and want to experience something new and outside your comfort zone. And what’s more outside of that tiny little comfort zone of yours than falling in love?
You didn’t leave home expecting to meet someone; and it definitely isn’t in your plans. So when it happens, you aren’t sure what to do. The thing you like most about them is their desire for adventure and to experience as many new cultures as possible, just like you. Because of this though, chances are you both have completely different travel plans and neither one of you want to keep each other from changing your next destination.
Relationships that happen overseas are fast-forwarded compared to the normal kind of dating you do back home. There’s no need to text or call each other to ask them to hang out, because when you wake up in the morning and walk into the hostel’s bar for breakfast they’re already there. You spend every day with them because you’re each heading out to the beach or waterfall or market, exploring whatever city you’re in together.
So what do you do when it’s time to part ways? Do you follow them to their next destination; plan to meet up along the way or head back with them to their hometown when you’re both done exploring The thing about love is that it’s completely unpredictable. Don’t try and plan your next move, just go with the flow. If they’re heading in a direction you think could be fun, then let you sense of adventure lead the way and don’t worry about love changing your plans.
