Outward Bound Costa Rica: Gap Year & Semester Abroad Courses in Costa Rica & Panama

Our Gap Year and Semester courses are far from the traditional study abroad program—spend your semester in the rainforests, rivers and reefs of Costa Rica & Panama.

Participants can earn up to 12 academic credits, 7 internationally recognized certifications and community service hours. Our two courses—Outdoor Leader Semester and Coast to Coast courses—are offered in the Fall and Spring of each year. Both courses provide the perfect opportunity to learn more about the world around you, gain leadership and outdoor skills and push the limits to discover your capabilities and passions.
