America’s Unofficial Ambassadors
America’s Unofficial Ambassadors is a soft power, citizen diplomacy initiative aimed at countering violent extremism before it can take hold, working at the grassroots level throughout the Muslim World and in the United States too.

Minimum 18 years of age.
Allegheny College students.
Reside in North America as a citizen of a North American country, a permanent resident or hold an international student visa at a North American college or university.
Strong physical and mental health to live in a developing country for six weeks.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Maintain a commitment to service, cultural sensitivity and AUA’s mission.
Commit to giving at least one community presentation (two for Mosaic Grant recipients) upon returning to the United States.
Meet qualifications specific to the placements desired.
