Financially supported by L'Oréal Canada, the Canadian Commission for UNESCO, and administered by Universities Canada: L'Oréal Canada For Women in Science Research Excellence Fellowships with International Rising Talents Fellowships
The fellowships are being given to enhance the role of women in devising scientific solutions to problems confronting humankind in the 21st century. If you are a successful recipient of the L'Oréal Canada For Women in Science Research Excellence Fellowships, you will have a 1 out of 2 chances of having your application referred to apply for the “L’Oréal-UNESCO International Rising Talents” Fellowship, worth 15 000 euros. Fifteen grants will be given per year, covering each of the five UNESCO regions: Africa & Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America.
The purpose of this program is to support major research projects undertaken by Canadian women scientists at the post-doctoral level in Canada.

Candidates must be female Canadian citizens or permanent residents;
Candidates must be starting or currently enrolled in research at the post-doctoral level;
Research must be carried out under the auspices of an academic supervisor at a Canadian host institution/organization;
Applicants must not have previously held a L'Oréal Canada For Women in Science Research Excellence Fellowship, with the support of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO.
