The Scholarship intends to support outstanding Master’s and PhD students joining thesis-based graduate programs at Kuwait University. The Scholarships are open to national and international applicants.

Full university tuition waiver.Monthly stipend of KD 1000 (Master’s); KD 1400 (PhD). Air-tickets to and from Kuwait at the start of the scholarship and upon graduation.Accommodation.Government health insurance.Assistance with entry visa.
Meet the conditions required for admission as a full-time student to one of the Kuwait University graduate programs (Master or PhD).
Minimum GPA and major GPA of his/her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00, or its equivalent.
Hold degree conferred by an academic institution approved by Kuwait University.
Good command of English language (spoken and written) to an extent that allows him/her to pursue graduate studies; minimum TOEFL score of 550, or its equivalent.
Satisfy the pertinent program requirements in terms of international admission test scores (program specific).
Good GRE score of 3 in Analytical Writing and 145 in Verbal Reasoning. For applicants to the MA program in Economics, the GRE score must include the Quantitative Reasoning section (not less than 155).
Demonstrate a good command of the language of instruction in the selected program.
Sharia & Islamic studies programs: exempt from the GRE test; however, a recitation of 15 chapters of the Holy Quran is required.
