Masa Israel: Masa Israel Grants
Masa Israel works to make it as easy as possible for Jewish young adults to go to Israel. We offer grants and/or scholarships to help make the experience more affordable. Masa Israel participants on a gap year program between the ages of 18-20 are eligible for a $500 grant which will be allocated directly to their program provider toward tuition. Masa Israel participants on study abroad programs and participants between the ages of 21-30 are eligible to apply for universal grants toward the cost of your program. All Masa Israel participants, ages 18-30 are eligible to apply for additional needs-based scholarships. Your grant/scholarship will be deducted from the total cost of your program. The amount available depends on your country of origin, age, and the length of your program.

Masa Israel, a public-service organization founded by the Prime Minister’s Office of the Government of Israel, together with The Jewish Agency for Israel, is the leading organization in the long term Israel experience space, and it sets the industry standard. Application deadline
Requests for grants, including all required documents, must be submitted no later than halfway through your program. Requests for needs-based scholarships must be submitted no later than 60 days before the program’s official start date.
Amount of the award
Eligible gap year participants ages 18-20 will receive $500 grant toward the cost of their program. Study abroad participants automatically receive $1,000 toward tuition, and eligible participants over the age of 21 automatically receive $2,400 - $4,500 (depending on the length and cost of your program). Eligibility
To be eligible for a universal grant through Masa Israel, you must: Be Jewish; Be a graduate of a secondary school and/or between the ages of 18 and 30; Not have Israeli citizenship OR if you do, you must have left Israel before the age of 14 and have lived outside of Israel for at least four consecutive years prior to receiving your grant; Have not been on an organized program (including an academic program) of more than four months in Israel since September 2004; Have not spent 4 consecutive months or longer in Israel within the 24 month period prior to the start of your chosen Masa program after the age of 18.
