The summer research fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis taking into consideration several criteria including the student's academic record, letter of motivation and letters of recommendation.

The School of Life Sciences (SV) is organized to teach students at the interfaces of biology and other sciences such as engineering, basic sciences, computer sciences.
January of each even year
Stipend for living and housing expenses.
Up to CHF 1,200 for overseas travel or up to CHF 500 for European travel.

Enrolled in a degree program in biology, bio-physics, chemistry, bio-engineering, bio-informatics, quantitative biology, genetics courses or similar life sciences program and plan on pursuing a career in the life sciences.
In good standing with a GPA equivalent to a 3.75/4.0 grade or higher (5.25/6).
Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework by the start of summer research program.
