Eligibility
Licensed teachers holding a State Teacher Certification, MA in Education, or international equivalent (TESOL Certification does not constitute full licensure unless the candidate can show impressive commensurate experience).
Career teachers with a minimum of 2 years of full-time classroom experience and the intention to continue teaching upon return to their home country (more teaching experience would add weight to the candidate’s application).
Language or Subject area teachers. English is the official language of Namibia and all volunteers’ classes are taught in English regardless of subject. Teachers of other languages who hope to expand their areas of qualification, or ESL teachers for whom foreign language skills would be a professional asset and further their abilities as a teacher will also be considered.
