Abaana Community Outreach Africa (ACO-Africa): Empower A Rural Woman in Uganda
Empowering A Rural Woman in Uganda is aimed at changing a rural woman’s life through giving her the foundational knowledge, training, and resources they need to start, lead, grow small micro enterprises, literacy and as well as improving their health.
Volunteer activities on this program are a unique way of gaining business skills while helping small businesses overseas. This kind will also prepare volunteers for the working world. It helps them practice the skills needed to be a successful business person.
Our staff and community volunteers who are trained or equipped with skills in micro-enterprise, group formations, microfinance business and small business development will work volunteers, teach them everything they need to know, and they can ask questions and for advice.
Volunteers enjoy a broad learning experiences including many of the practical, social, and technical skills required to become effective leaders, engaged citizens, productive members of society. They gain skills that are vital for real success in future employment and in adult life.

ACO Africa's purpose is to break the cycle of poverty by providing loving support and care to vulnerable individuals of the communities especially children and women through access a high-quality education both formal and informal, health and psychosocial care, economic strengthening, nutrition or food security, human and child rights protection in order to counteract pervasive hunger, poverty and systemic deprivation.
