GiveGetGo: Volunteer Build and Travel Adventures

Immerse yourself in a new culture while lending your heart and hands. GiveGetGo adventures pair volunteer building and travel, making for unforgettable, life changing vacations.

Each of our trips consist of four main components:

1. Volunteer Building

We partner only with established, well-respected, registered Canadian charities and NGO's who need assistance with renovating, refurbishing or building schools and orphanages in developing countries. The builds we work on are part of long-term, community driven projects that, along with these charities, will continue to help children thrive for generations.

Volunteers will be working alongside local tradesmen from the community. We are not there to take away jobs, but to give a boost in effort and spirit to these ongoing community projects. Volunteer participation on these builds can incorporate any level of skill and fitness. We will ensure that every volunteer's efforts can add great benefits to these projects.

2. Cultural and Community Immersion

Because our partnered charities and NGO's have a long-term, committed connection with the communities they support, GiveGetGo teams are embraced by everyone and are graciously welcomed with open arms. Volunteers gain a first-hand understanding of the people, culture, and geography of the areas in which they build and get a sense of living a different way of life.

3. Travel as a Group, Evolve as a Team

One of the most fulfilling aspects of these trips is the camaraderie that forms from working hard as a group on the build. This tight bond continues to grow as we set out on an adventure to explore the country together.

Our volunteers become part of a team of fellow travellers and local community builders that create a rich experience filled with laughter and unforgettable friendships. Many of our volunteers have life changing personal experiences on these trips that is felt and shared by the whole group.

4. Explore, Relax, Reward

After participating in hard work at the build site, volunteers will have the opportunity to set out on outdoor adventure tours through amazing landscapes, partake in cultural activities in the area or just relax with a drink by the pool and reflect on their experience.

The travel portions of our trips are designed to be as active and adventurous, or as laid back and relaxing as you desire. Enjoy beautiful hotels and the best of the sites, food, and activities in the area.

Charitable tax receipts are available for a minimum of 40% of the cost of your trip.
Fundraising options make trips affordable for anyone.

Funding information
Fundraising For Your GiveGetGo Trip:

GiveGetGo supports fundraising for the volunteer cost portion of our trips.

GiveGetGo supports fundraising for the volunteer cost portion of our trips. Our recommendation and support for these efforts is through CanadaHelps, a registered Canadian charity launched in 2000, whose sole purpose is to support the philanthropic efforts of both donors and charities.

CanadaHelps will enable you to start an online fundraising campaign. You can create your own GivingPage to encourage your friends and family to donate to your trip. This site enables you to set a fundraising target and enables you to share your page through your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Please contact your GiveGetGo representative to fully understand the fundraising procedures and amounts eligible, as they vary for each trip. We also have some fund raising ideas to share with you to assist you in raising funds.
