Secrets of the Dual Rotor Drill

Written by Larry Frolick
As a result of its national oil industry, Canada leads the way in the technology of drilling for potable water.

Foremost Industries, a Canadian public company, is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and sells its products internationally, including Russia.  The company’s latest rigs are designed to allow the well-casing to be worked into gravel water-bearing zones without the new hole collapsing back, so that the pump can be properly lowered into the water-source.

According to Rick Finney, the company’s sales manager, Foremost’s unique Dual Rotary (DR) water well and foundation drills feature two independent rotary drives that enable simultaneous drilling and casing in difficult “unconsolidated overburden.”

The drill starts at a cool million dollars; delivery is extra.
