This month, for the seventh year running, the Go Global Expo returns to Toronto and Montréal.

In an increasingly competitive job market, international experience and cross-cultural competencies are often what set candidates apart. Perhaps this is why the majority of millennials—as many as 71 per cent, according to PwC—plan to pursue an overseas assignment during their career.

The benefits of working abroad are countless, but for students and recent grads who want to launch their careers overseas, the path isn’t always clear. That’s why Verge Magazine is pleased to present "Careers For Globetrotters" at this year's Go Global Expo.

The free session provides expert advice from a high-powered panel of seasoned practitioners in international development, humanitarian aid, government, media and global business. Together they will share their insights and discuss how to obtain work and excel overseas.

Now in its seventh year, the Go Global Expo connects travellers with opportunities to work, volunteer and study overseas. Hosted at Mattamy Athletic Centre at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto from September 24-25 and at Palais des congrès in Montreal on October 1, the expo is an exciting chance to learn about the wealth of meaningful travel opportunities. Students, young professionals and adventure-seekers of all ages can find the information and inspiration they need to turn their travel dreams into a reality.

In addition to participating in the opening “Careers for Globetrotters” session at 11 a.m., visitors can visit the expo hall or attend one of the Expo Seminar Series presentations to speak directly with experts, who represent programs in over 100 countries. Exhibitors will include foreign universities and colleges, exchange programs, international volunteer organizations, student and youth work abroad programs and more.

With free admission, the expo will also feature an inspiring exhibit of some of the year’s best travel photography, selected from submissions to Verge Magazine’s annual photo contest.

Dates:

Toronto – September 24-25 (Mattamy Athletic Centre at Maple Leaf Gardens)
Montreal – October 1 (Palais des congrès)
