• With dramatic reports questioning the safety of spending a semester overseas (such as this one) the launch of Emily Sweeney’s site, Study Abroad Spotlight couldn’t have come at a better time. The site connects parents and prospective study abroad participants with alumni, easing fears.
• One nation's citizens that don’t need encouragement to study overseas are the Vietnamese, where parents are collectively spending up to one billion dollars annually to educate their children abroad.
