Elisete is an Israeli-Brazilian singer-songwriter who combines the smooth pop grooves of South America – found in “It’s not Carnaval anymore”, “La de longe”, “Ninguem”, “So queria apenas” – with down-tempo elements – found in “Sentada na praca” and the spectacularly catchy, guitar-driven “Yam” and “Chalom betoch chalom”. Elistete’s use of both Hebrew and Portuguese provides a wonderful palette of musical “colour” throughout Minhas Cores (“My Colors”). Overall, on the album is centered on original and well-crafted songs that echo the essence of Brazilian and Middle Eastern musical stylings. A must-have recording!
